MAYGA
I’m MAYGA — a graphic designer, illustrator, and textile artist. I create prints that emerge from handcrafted drawing and come to life through digital tools and animation. I blend aesthetic sensitivity with a contemporary eye, aiming to transmit identity, emotion, and visual poetry in every design.
I work independently, developing allover and placement prints for fashion brands and studios such as Agustina Correa Studio, Agustina Saquer, We Templa, Studio Paraizo (Brazil), Ka Prints Studio, and Pehuén Studio. My work has been featured at international events such as Première Vision New York 2025.
My creative process is rooted in manual illustration — watercolor, tempera, ink, pencil, collage, printmaking, and paper cut — and is enhanced by digital tools like Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Fresco, Firefly, Procreate, as well as AI platforms such as Midjourney, Luma AI, Runway, DALL·E 3, Copilot, and Krea AI.
I also produce animations using my own prints and those of fellow designers, and I teach video editing and AI-assisted animation. I’ve designed album covers and visual content for the band YUM YUM RICO, bringing my visual universe into the music world.
My artistic journey began in music: I studied violin and voice from a young age and performed as a vocalist in several bands. I learned to sew at age 10, taught by my mother, and even designed and made my own stage outfits. I later launched a textile project where I hand-dyed linen wraps using shibori and tie-dye techniques, and created unique macramé accessories and fiber pieces.
Creating is how I inhabit the world. MAYGA is the reflection of that path — a visual universe made of line, texture, and soul.
